Beeline Kazakhstan extends 4G trial to fourth city

Kazakh wireless operator KaR-Tel, which trades under its parent VimpelCom’s preferred Beeline brand, has launched a new pilot of 4G LTE services. Beeline is offering customers in Astana the opportunity to trial 800MHz LTE technology ahead of a commercial launch in the next few months. The country’s second largest cellco by subscribers is already offering trial 75Mbps LTE services in Almaty via the 2100MHz band and in Uralsk and Aksai using 1800MHz frequencies.
