Haiti’s telecoms regulator Conseil National des Telecommunications (Conatel) has informed the public that ‘no person has been granted a concession for the operation and marketing of 4G LTE mobile phone services’ in the country, Radio Television Caraibes writes. According to Conatel’s managing director, Jean-Marie Altema, the general directorate of Conatel is working on establishing the terms and conditions for auctioning the 4G concessions. The official also added that one operator – National Telecom (Natcom) – is currently authorised to trial the technology.
