Slovakian ISP Slovanet has unveiled plans to expand its fixed-wireless broadband networks to five new regions during June covering around 130,000 households in 120 villages. Slovanet, which launched TD-LTE technology on its networks towards the end of last year, says the move will more than double its existing footprint, taking overall coverage to some 250,000 premises in 220 municipalities. Slovanet’s TD-LTE networks utilise the 3.5GHz band, while it also offers 10.5GHz-based connectivity for corporate clients.
