STC introduces VoLTE services

12 Apr 2016

Saudi Telecom Company (STC) has launched commercial voice-over-LTE (VoLTE) services, which will reduce call connection times and provide improved simultaneous use of HD voice and high speed data over the LTE network. The service was introduced in collaboration with Apple.

Eng. Nasser Al Nasser, Senior Vice President for Technology & Operations at STC, said: ‘VoLTE will be a cornerstone in the transformation process being witnessed by the network. This is aimed at providing the best experience for our customers coupled with the best possible service quality. Our customers will now be able to make voice calls while at the same time enjoying all their data services and internet browsing, using the same high speed 4G LTE network.’
