Digicel Play reaches 20,000 customers in Jamaica

5 Apr 2016

Jamaican mobile and fixed network operator Digicel says its fibre-to-the-home (FTTH) service Digicel Play has attracted 20,000 subscribers since its launch late last year. The company says that the milestone was hit less than 60 days after the service reached the 10,000 subscriber mark. Introduced in December, Digicel’s fibre service includes a range of single-play, double-play and triple-play packages which provide broadband connectivity at between 25Mbps and 200Mbps, up to 223 TV channels and a home phone line with unlimited on-net calls. Digicel is Jamaica’s largest mobile operator by subscribers, but the island’s fixed telephony and broadband markets are dominated by incumbent operator Flow.
