Smile Uganda launches new unlimited LTE data plan

11 Mar 2016

Smile Communications Uganda has announced the launch of new voice and data plans for its 4G LTE network. The new SmileVoice app uses voice-over-LTE (VoLTE) technology, which was first introduced by the company late last year, to offer both national and international voice and video calling, even for customers without VoLTE-enabled handsets, while SmileUnlimited offers 30 days of unlimited wireless data use for UGX179,000 (USD49). The firm says its network footprint now extends to 15 cities and towns: Entebbe, Kampala, Wakiso, Mukono, Mbarara, Masaka, Masindi, Fort Portal, Kabale, Gulu, Lira, Soroti, Mbale, Jinja and Tororo.
