Telenor and SBB launch joint multi-play offering

7 Mar 2016

Norwegian-backed cellco Telenor Serbia and cable-based broadband provider Serbia Broadband (SBB) have begun offering a joint multi-play service, dubbed ‘Superset’. The service is available to new customers as well as all existing customers with a post-paid Telenor subscription and an SBB package and provides users with an extra 50% of mobile data traffic, a 10Mbps increase to their fixed broadband connection, extra high definition (HD) TV channels and more than 1,000 minutes of free calls between SBB fixed and Telenor numbers. Neither company charges for the upgrade to Superset and users can activate the plan via the ‘My Telenor’ application or in the ‘My SBB’ and ‘My Telenor’ portals.

Commenting on the tie-up, Telenor Serbia’s general director, Ingeborg Ofsthus said: ‘The partnership between SBB and Telenor is a response to the needs of users to be connected at all times and in all places. The quality of our network allows this already and now we have gone a step further and we want to give users even more benefits that can be realised in a simple way, through applications on their mobile phones, rather than going to retail outlets.’ SBB General Manager Goran Vasic, meanwhile, echoed the statement, adding: ‘Our desire is to create a unified telecommunications offer that will efficiently respond to the growing demands of users and the market in which we operate.’
