Movistar Chile has begun rolling out 700MHz LTE and plans to commercially launch the platform in three regions in Q2 2016, Diario Financiero writes, citing Marketing Director Paula Figueroa. Deployment of the technology has been completed in Tarapaca, Parinacota and Arica, and from July the cellco will begin implementing carrier aggregation (CA), linking its 700MHz and 2600MHz bands to provide theoretical peak download speeds of up to 300Mbps.
