Fiber NL acquires Stipte

19 Jan 2016

Dutch ISP Stipte, which was originally established in 1992 under the name Scarlet, has been acquired by domestic rival Fiber NL. Stipte, which uses ADSL, VDSL and fibre-to-the-home (FTTH) technologies to provide internet, TV and telephony services, will be retaining its own branding following the takeover. The purchase price was not disclosed. Previously owned by Belgacom (now Proximus) of Belgium, Stipte was bought out by its management in 2014.
