Telenor Bulgaria covers 57% of population with 4G

9 Dec 2015

Following the commercial launch of its 4G LTE services on 1 December, telecoms provider Telenor Bulgaria (previously GloBul) has expanded the network to all Bulgarian cities with more than 20,000 residents, effectively providing outdoor 4G coverage to 57% of population. The new network, which operates in the 1800MHz band, offers customers maximum download speeds of 75Mbps and is free to all Telenor subscribers until 31 January due to a promotion. Going forward, the company is planning to further extend its 4G footprint in 2016, depending on spectrum availability.
