Sudatel Telecom Group (STG) has announced its preliminary results for the third quarter of 2015, reporting consolidated revenues of USD105.738 million, a marginal 0.6% increase year-on-year from USD105.132 million in Q3 2014. The Khartoum-based company said profit before tax for the three-month period totalled USD9.789 million (a three-fold increase y-o-y), while net income increased from USD297,675 to USD7.337 million.
Sudatel Group CEO Tarig Hamza Zainelabdin noted: ‘Sudatel continues to witness healthy growth across the markets in which it operates and we are confident that we will maintain our steady growth pace over the coming period. The company is constantly working on controlling and minimising its operational costs in order to maximise net revenues and profits for the company and its shareholders.’
In operational terms, Sudatel’s customer base increased to 11.3 million subscribers by end-September 2015, up 3.7% y-o-y.
