Angola’s second largest mobile operator Movicel has expanded its commercial 4G LTE network services to the province of Benguela. According to a report on Angolan portal Sapo, the expansion project took seven months, enabling mobile data speeds of up to 75Mbps for users in the region. Benguela is the third Angolan province to receive LTE coverage from Movicel, which TeleGeography notes was the first operator in Africa to launch commercial LTE services in April 2012, although network coverage has remained restricted to Luanda and Cabinda provinces until now.
