T-Mobile Macedonia upgrades LTE network with carrier aggregation

T-Mobile Macedonia, the wireless arm of fixed line incumbent Makedonski Telekom (MT), has upgraded its 4G LTE network with carrier aggregation (CA) technology, thus enabling its subscribers to benefit from a maximum downlink of 220Mbps. According to a press release, the LTE-Advanced (LTE-A) network is currently available in the capital Skopje for users with a Category 6 device. Further, T-Mobile revealed that its LTE network now covers 70% of the population and 45% of the country’s territory, while its 3G services are available to 98% of the population (93% of territory).
