CTM gives Macau first commercial LTE service

22 Oct 2015

Macau’s dominant full-service telco CTM officially launched commercial 4G LTE mobile services yesterday (21 October 2015), after an investment of around MOP600 million (USD74 million). From launch the new network supports both FDD and TDD modes, and users can choose from five monthly packages at prices ranging from MOP98 to MOP598. The commercial launch follows a trial period in which more than 20,000 people have tested CTM’s LTE services, and a company spokesperson announced that on its launch date the network reached 99.5% outdoor coverage in over 1,000 districts across Macau.
