2 Jul 2015

Bulgarian wireless operator Max (previously Max Telecom) has expanded its Long Term Evolution (LTE) network to 14 new towns and seaside resorts. The company launched its 4G service (which supports maximum theoretical down/uplink speeds of 75Mbps/25Mbps) in twelve seaside resorts along the Black Sea coast, namely Kavarna, Balchik, Obzor, Sunny Beach, Nessebar, Pomorie, Chernomorets, Sozopol, Primorsko, Lozenets, Ahtopol and Tsarevo, in addition to the towns of Elin Pelin and Bozhurishte, located near the capital Sofia.

Following this week’s deployment, Max offers 4G/LTE services in 31 cities/towns, thus covering 50% of the country’s urban population.
