Vodafone Fiji acquires Datec Fiji to bolster clients’ service portfolio

22 May 2015

Mobile telecommunications operator Vodafone Fiji has acquired domestic IT company Datec Fiji, in a move that is expected to strengthen the cellco’s position as a market leader and enhance service delivery to clients, The Fiji Times reports. The acquisition was confirmed earlier this week and is ‘strategically aligned to the company’s future growth objectives’, said Vodafone Fiji chairman Ajith Kodagoda. ‘Whether it is hardware, software, peripherals or ICT solutions, Vodafone will now be equipped to provide one stop shop offering,’ he said. No financial details of the deal were disclosed.
