Astelit opens 3G test zones in six cities; Kyivstar expands its 3G testing

Ukrainian mobile operator Astelit (life:)) has announced on its website the opening of zones for testing its in-deployment 3G network at its service centres and stores in six cities: Kiev, Lviv, Kharkiv, Dnipropetrovsk, Chernigiv and Cherkassy, where users can make HSPA+ speed tests for web pages, social networks and online video sites.

Meanwhile, larger rival Kyivstar has launched 3G testing in Kiev and Lviv with ‘full coverage’ of these two cities, beginning on 14 May and 18 May respectively, having received all the necessary documents for technical testing, it confirmed on its website. The previous month Kyivstar had opened its first test section of its in-deployment HSPA+ network in Brovary and Kamenetz-Podolsk.
