5 May 2015

Bulgarian mobile operator Max (previously Max Telecom) has extended the footprint of its Long Term Evolution (LTE) network to the cities of Pernik and Blagoevgrad, located in the south-western part of the country. Following the expansion programme, LTE services with downlink speeds of 75Mbps are now available in 15 cities/resorts, namely Sofia, Plovdiv, Varna, Bourgas, Stara Zagora, Ruse, Sliven, Pleven, Bansko, Hisarya, Velingrad, Pernik, Blagoevgrad, Golden Sands and St. Constantine and Helena.

Max’s CEO Peter Covell said: ‘This is further proof of Max continuing its rollout plan to new cities and I am happy to say that the process is going smoothly. We have the ambition to place Max as the 4G LTE market leader and to introduce a wide range of customers to the benefits of 4G. Our commitment to better network performance, combined with more 4G coverage and the large volume, high-value data plans make 4G LTE by Max the best choice for users.’
