AT&T claims USD25m USVI investment

17 Apr 2015

AT&T has announced that it invested more than USD25 million in its wireless and wireline networks in the US Virgin Islands between 2012 through 2014, in a bid to enhance the reliability, coverage and performance of its infrastructure there. Last year the telco upgraded the capacity of its Long Term Evolution (LTE) networks, as part of the ‘Project Velocity IP (VIP)’ programme. Ray Flores, the regional vice president for AT&T Puerto Rico and USVI, commented: ‘AT&T’s continued investment in the USVI brings a host of new, innovative opportunities for residents and businesses to connect with each other and their customers.’
