Moroccan operators to offer free Wi-Fi in Casablanca

Moroccan telecoms operators – Maroc Telecom (also known by its old name Itissalat Al Maghrib, or IAM), Medi Telecom (Meditel) and Inwi (Wana) – have signed an agreement with the local government of Casablanca to offer free Wi-Fi in the area until the end of the year, Agence Ecofin reports. Initially, the service will be available at the Arab League Park, Nevada Square, Casa Port Station, Hassan II University, Mohammed V Square, Hassan II Mosque, Moulay Abdallah Street, the Faculty of Medicine, United Nations Square, Derb Ghallef and Maarif/Twin Centres. Going forward, hotspots will also be deployed in ten neighbourhoods of Casablanca.
