PEOPLEnet using ePMP for wireless broadband expansion

2 Apr 2015

Ukrainian CDMA-based mobile broadband operator PEOPLEnet has expanded its internet services using ePMP technology in the town of Grebynka in the Poltava region, offering broadband access at up to 30Mbps for a monthly subscription costing UAH150 (USD6.32). As reported by Telecompaper, the service requires the ePMP1000 Integrated Radio end-user device, operating at a maximum 8-10km distance from the base station. According to vendor Cambium Networks’ website, ePMP architecture uses 2.4GHz and 5GHz frequencies – major unlicensed global band – and is an ‘effective connectivity solution for under- and unconnected locations.
