Czech national transmission company Ceske Radiokomunikace (CRa) is preparing to launch a new Media Cloud solution in the Czech Republic, BroadbandTVNews reports. The company’s new version of Media Cloud – a first for the country – will offer a comprehensive solution for the handling, storage and delivery of video content for the internet, mobile devices, smart TV and Hybrid Broadcast Broadband TV (HbbTV). It is understood that the next phase of CRa’s development plan will begin in the autumn, and will allow for the processing and transmission of video content to end users. The transmission company is unique in the Republic in offering a media cloud service, and the new service will augment its content delivery network (CDN) facilities – launched late last year.
