NetCom, the Norwegian subsidiary of Sweden’s TeliaSonera, has announced the introduction of LTE-Advanced (LTE-A) technology on a limited basis. In a blog post confirming the development, the cellco disclosed that it had deployed the technology at its business centre in Kristiansand, though it highlighted that initially the faster-speed service is only being offered to a small selection of business users; plans to extend availability to residential users are reportedly being considered. In terms of coverage expansion, meanwhile, NetCom has said that it aims to deploy the technology in Tromso, Drammen and Oslo before summer 2015.
