T-Mobile CR picks GENBAND for advanced SIP trunking solution

5 Mar 2015

Cellular operator T-Mobile Czech republic has selected software solutions provider GENBAND to supply it with a session internet protocol (SIP) trunking solution at two of its data centres in the country. The vendor will supply T-Mobile with its next generation QUANTiX Session Border Controller (SBC) solution which it claims ‘reduces complexity and simplifies the network edge by securely managing, routing and controlling real-time voice and multimedia sessions across fixed, wireless and enterprise IP networks’.

Josef Sikyr, vice president of regional transformation for T-Mobile Czech Republic, said: ‘It’s critical for us to offer our customers the feature-rich communications they need … GENBAND’s intelligent SIP trunking enables us to deliver these features with increased security and reliability while maintaining T-Mobile’s network security strategy. It also provides us with extensive visibility into the network and helps us to manage our critical communications assets.’
