Tigo Ghana completes USD1 million backbone upgrade in Volta Region

Millicom Ghana, which operates under the Tigo brand, has completed expansion work on its eastern microwave backbone, upgrading network quality and resilience across the Volta Region. BizTech Africa reports that the USD1 million project took six months to implement and will benefit towns and cities such as Tema, Ho, Akosombo, Hohoe, Aflao and the surrounding areas. Tigo CEO Obafemi Banigbe commented: ‘Improving network quality is our biggest priority for 2015 and we are committed to ensuring a reliable and consistent quality.’
