MTS Ukraine ownership goes Dutch

2 Mar 2015

Russia’s Mobile TeleSystems (MTS) has transferred its 100% stake in MTS Ukraine to an indirect ownership structure, under which from 26 February 2015 all shares in the Ukrainian private joint-stock company will be held by Netherlands-based Preludium B.V., itself owned by Luxembourg-registered firm Allegretto Holding. MTS spokesperson Elena Kokhanovskaya told Interfax: ‘The asset was transferred to expand the opportunities of raising investment in MTS Ukraine’, while MTS Ukraine’s press service said that the new indirect European ownership structure is designed to help facilitate dialogue with potential investment partners.
