27 Feb 2015

Ghanaian regulator the National Communications Authority (NCA) reported that on 19 February 2015 the country’s mobile number portability (MNP) service reached two million successful ports, adding that during January 2015 more than 95% of all porting requests were completed within five minutes, and no users were charged for switching operators. TeleGeography’s GlobalComms Database notes that the service was introduced to Ghana in July 2011, with 370,107 mobile numbers ported during the first year.
