Vodafone CR submits network sharing proposal to CTU

28 Jan 2015

Vodafone’s Czech operating unit has delivered a presentation on network sharing to the country’s regulator, the Czech Telecommunication Office (CTU), Telecompaper reports without citing the source for the story. It is understood that a similar presentation will be made on the matter by T-Mobile CR next month.

In an unrelated development, the CTU is considering a draft decision to designate O2 Czech Republic as an operator with significant market power (SMP) in two sectors: Market 4, which covers wholesale physical access to network infrastructure, including shared full unbundling of the local loop at a fixed location, and on setting remedies including price regulation; and Market 6, for wholesale terminating segments of leased lines. The watchdog has reportedly agreed to start administrative proceedings on both draft decisions.
