KPN expands iTV Online service; increases data allowances

22 Jan 2015

Dutch telco KPN is expanding its ‘iTV Online’ service to enable subscribers to access the IPTV platform outside of the home, via Wi-Fi or 4G connections. KPN’s press release claims the improved service has been made possible by the company’s extensive 4G network coverage, which stood at 95% of the country at 30 September 2014. Customers can access the new iTV Online service from 29 January.

Meanwhile, in related news, KPN has confirmed that it will be increasing the allowances attached to its existing data bundles from 2 February. Subscribers to ‘All-in-1 Standard’ data bundles will see their allowances rise from 2GB to 5GB, while ‘All-in-1 Premium’ users will see their data allowance double from 5GB to 10GB. A full list of changes can be found on the company’s website.
