Japanese wireless operator SoftBank Mobile, a wholly owned subsidiary of SoftBank Corp, has selected JDSU to supply its proprietary xSIGHT Customer Experience Assurance solution, to optimise the scale and quality of experience (QoE) of its 4G Long Term Evolution (LTE) services, and offer users a ‘differentiated’ customer experience. JDSU says that xSIGHT uses advanced technology to ‘identify, prioritise and resolve customer-impacting issues in a fraction of the time and footprint of traditional solutions’. Softbank Mobile says the vendor’s platform will allow it to quickly and cost-effectively scale its assurance solution to address the substantial increase in traffic volumes and rates driven by new LTE services.
