T-Mobile Czech Republic says that 93% of the population are already covered with its advanced 3G and 4G Long Term Evolution (LTE) services. In an update dated 7 January, the cellco said that users with 4G can now expect peak transmission speeds of up to 225Mbps/50Mbps (down/uplink) at hundreds of locations across the country. With full deployment of its 4G network expected to be completed this year, the operator confirmed that currently its signal covers 672 towns and cities and 1,815km of primary road links (e.g. D1 and D5). Further, T-Mobile CR is looking to launch voice-over-LTE (VoLTE) commercially, following a pilot trial started in October 2014.
