Cellcos obliged to unlock devices

Mobile operators in Peru are now obliged to sell mobile devices unlocked and are also required to unlock any customer’s handset for free after new rules came into force on 2 January, Gestion writes. As a result of the change, users can now use SIM cards from any operator in any device, freeing up customers to switch providers more easily.
