Tele2 NL launches 4G business package

5 Jan 2015

Swedish-backed operator Tele2 Netherlands (NL) has launched a package allowing business customers to trial its new 4G network; costing EUR113 (USD136) per month the ‘Pioneers’ package provides unlimited calls and SMS with 20GB data, and is offered in conjunction with a Samsung Galaxy S5 gold smartphone, priced at EUR599.

In December the operator announced it would begin rolling out Long Term Evolution-Advanced (LTE-A) services in 2015, initially covering Amsterdam and Rotterdam, before extending coverage across the country. TeleGeography’s GlobalComms Database notes that Tele2 was awarded a 4G licence in January 2013 on the condition that it would launch such services within two years.
