T-Mobile tests 300Mbps LTE

2 Jan 2015

Montenegrin telecoms operator Crnogorski Telekom, which provides mobile services under the brand T-Mobile, has announced that it has recently begun tests of 4G technology, achieving data rates of up to 300Mbps. Trials have been carried out in cooperation with Ericsson Nikola Tesla in three areas of Podgorica and Budva, and will be continued over the next six months. TeleGeography’s GlobalComms Database notes that T-Mobile activated LTE services in seven cities, namely Podgorica, Nikisc, Budva, Bar, Kotor, Tivat and Herceg Novi, in late November 2013, with 4G network speeds of up to 150Mbps subsequently expanded to 60% of the population during 2014.
