Syniverse upgrades GrameenPhone’s global messaging

Syniverse has signed a messaging deal with GrameenPhone, the mobile market leader in Bangladesh by users and revenue, to provide its subscribers with global-reaching mobile messaging services. A press release says that by using Syniverse’s advanced SMS and MMS interoperability solutions, GrameenPhone subscribers can enjoy seamless messaging across geographic and technological borders. ‘Whether users are connecting to one another or applications are delivering information to people automatically, mobile subscribers expect instant and accurate message delivery wherever they are in the world,’ said Allan Bonke, chief marketing officer, GrameenPhone, adding: ‘Syniverse’s messaging solutions manage the behind-the-scenes business and technical relationships necessary for our subscribers to quickly and consistently send and receive mobile messages worldwide.’
