Vodafone Fiji has launched mobile services in the districts of Dogotuki and Visoqo in Macuata, The Fiji Times reports. The cellco’s network expansion also brings mobile internet to Also Island in the Udu district, it said. Its chief marketing officer Sanjeewa Perera said Vodafone had invested millions to expand its network coverage throughout the course of this year and had gone through a major network upgrade to enhance connectivity for its customers. He went on to say that only last month, Vodafone Fiji switched on a number of new sites in Yalava (in the coastal area of Macuata), Labasa industrial zone, Dogotuki (covering parts of Udu Point), Natewa (covering parts of Natewa and Saqani), Naweni (covering Savusavu), Kiobo (covering the villages of Kubulau Bay and Bua) and Wainunu (covering villages along Wainunu Bay, Bua, and Savusavu Town site).
