Kyrgyz mobile service provider Nur Telecom, which operates under the ‘O!’ banner, has deployed five new 3G base stations in the Talas province; four in the city of Talas and one in the village of Kirovka. Maksim Sidorenko, commercial director at ‘O!’, comments: ‘In the regions of the Kyrgyz Republic [there] is still an urgent need to quickly access quality internet…We are delighted now the residents of the Talas region have access to 3G communication technology.’ Nur Telecom launched 3G services in April 2014 with coverage initially in Bishkek and the surrounding Chuy province, while in November the operator installed 3G base stations in the province of Naryn.
