ATH announces first-half results; net income up to FJD18.1m

28 Nov 2014

State-backed Fijian company Amalgamated Telecom Holdings (ATH) and its group companies recorded an interim and unaudited consolidated net profit of FJD18.097 million (USD9.34 million) for the six months ended 30 September 2014 (H1 FY2015), up sharply from FJD8.647 million in the corresponding period of 2013. The group said that its strong profits were the result of increased earnings and cost savings in many of its areas of business. Total revenues for the group increased by FJD11.2 million to FJD155.768 million, with ‘positive contributions from most revenue streams’, while overall operating costs were up by FJD676,000, it said. ATH has interests in the domestic market through Telecom Fiji Limited (TFL), Vodafone Fiji, Fiji Directories Limited, Internet Services Fiji Limited (Connect), Fiji International Telecoms Limited (FINTEL), ATH Call Centre (ATH Intouch), and Pacific Emerging Technologies.
