Rogers Communications has launched Canada’s first commercial LTE-Advanced (LTE-A) mobile broadband services for handset and other mobile device users in twelve cities, namely Vancouver, Edmonton, Calgary, Windsor, London, Hamilton, Toronto, Kingston, Moncton, Fredericton, Halifax and Saint John, with more markets across the country to follow, it revealed in press release. The upgraded network sections utilise Rogers’ comprehensive 700MHz and AWS (1700MHz/2100MHz) spectrum blocks across the country, and enable users to download and live stream video even faster on compatible phones and tablets. CEO Guy Laurence promised customers ‘an even better and faster video experience… It’s like putting the highways in a major city together to make a superhighway, allowing more traffic at faster speeds.’
