Telemach buys Slovenian cellco Tusmobil

20 Oct 2014

Slovenian cellular operator Tusmobil has been acquired by domestic cable TV provider Telemach. While the purchase price has not been disclosed, it is thought that the cableco paid previous owner Tus Holding around EUR150 million (USD188 million) for the country’s third largest mobile operator in terms of subscribers. The deal will allow Telemach to provide a bundle of fixed and mobile voice and data services plus TV services. Tusmobil had 287,695 subscribers and a 12.7% share of Slovenia’s mobile market at the end of June 2014, according to TeleGeography’s GlobalComms Database.
