DTAC to build 3,000 LTE sites by March

Thailand’s second largest mobile operator DTAC has announced a budget of THB10 billion (USD308 million) to expand its 3G and 4G LTE networks by a total of 6,500 cell sites in Greater Bangkok and 30 other major cities by 31 March 2015, Thai newspaper The Nation reported. Specifically, the Telenor subsidiary intends to expand the total number of 3G 850MHz/2100MHz base stations by 3,800, for a total of more than 20,000 3G sites nationwide, while the LTE 2100MHz network will be expanded by 2,700 sites to reach a total of 3,000 nationwide.
