26 Sep 2014

Mobile operator Vodafone Czech Republic has released an update on its ongoing 4G Long Term Evolution (LTE) rollout in the country, noting that by early September 2014 its ‘Turbo Internet’ (i.e. fast mobile internet working on LTE frequencies of 800MHz, 900MHz and 1800MHz) was available to 87% of the population and 67% of the territory of the Czech Republic. Moreover, by the end of this month it plans to cover a significant part of Prague with its LTE-1800 network, as well as using LTE-800 in its environs, while the city centre will see the first deployments of LTE-Advanced (LTE-A) base stations too.
