Akado upgrades Moscow backbone to support 100Gbps

Akado Telecom has upgraded its Moscow fibre-optic backbone with Infinera’s DTN-X packet-optical transport platform, the two parties have announced. The upgrade will add 100Gbps capabilities to the network and increase its capacity to more than 8Tbps. Akado’s fibre network extends more than 18,000km, and supports the provision of residential internet access and voice services, as well as a broad range of enterprise services for businesses and government entities.
