19 Aug 2014

The Croatian subsidiary of Deutsche Telekom, T-Hrvatski Telekom (T-HT), has awarded Ericsson a five-year managed services contract. The deal includes planning and construction of fixed and mobile networks, maintenance of telecommunications infrastructure, telecom network monitoring and field maintenance of active access and passive networks. As part of the agreement, 640 T-HT employees will be transferred to Ericsson Nikola Tesla Servisi, a newly established subsidiary of Ericsson’s local unit, Ericsson Nikola Tesla.

Davor Tomaskovic, president and CEO of T-HT, commented: ‘Through this agreement, Hrvatski Telekom intends to increase the quality of infrastructure and simultaneously optimise costs related to the construction and maintenance of fixed and mobile networks.’ T-HT is the dominant operator in Croatia’s fixed line, internet and mobile markets.
