Fijian mobile virtual network operator (MVNO) Inkk Mobile launched its 4G Long Term Evolution (LTE) service in Suva last week, with CEO Paul O’Neile saying the operator is ready to take its customers into ‘the mobile internet sphere’. Having built up a base of around 250,000 customers in seven years of operation, O’Neile confirmed that the roll out of Inkk’s 4G products was was well underway with retail outlets already stocked with 4G devices. The MVNO’s business development manager, Praneel Dutt, added that 4G products were available in Suva, Nausori and some parts of Nadi. Inkk Mobile is offering a range of around five 4G-enabled handsets, with prices starting at FJD279 (USD151.6).
