Paraguayan state-run telecoms operator Copaco claimed a total of 390,000 wireline subscribers at the end of 2013, La Nacion reports. Underlining the geographical disparity evident in the country, 240,000 of these customers are said to be based in capital city Asuncion’s metropolitan area. Meanwhile, the telco’s ADSL customer base stood at 70,000 at year-end, with IPTV users reaching 2,500. The figures were divulged by network quality official Miguel Cantero.
