Entel Bolivia spends USD250m in first half

Bolivia’s state owned telco Empresa Nacional de Telecomunicaciones (Entel) invested a total of USD250 million in the first six months of 2014, as part of its USD360 million planned spend for the full year. A report from La Razon cites company president Oscar Coca as saying that Entel is improving mobile coverage through the deployment of new base stations, while also rolling out additional fibre-optic infrastructure to support its fixed and wireless services.
