Mobilkom, Telecom Liechtenstein merge; Austrians take 24.9%

State-owned Telecom Liechtenstein, the tiny country’s incumbent PSTN operator, has formed a strategic partnership with Telekom Austria Group, under which the Austrian group’s wholly-owned local mobile subsidiary Mobilkom Liechtenstein (FL1) will merge with Telecom Liechtenstein, while Telekom Austria will take a 24.9% stake in the enlarged operator. The Principality will retain 75.1% ownership in the merged company under contracts which were signed on 27 June 2014, Telecom Liechtenstein disclosed on its website.
