German fibre operator Deutsche Glasfaser has announced that it has so far connected 50,000 households to its fibre-to-the-home (FTTH) network infrastructure. The privately-owned company constructs and operates FTTH networks in mainly rural parts of the federal states of North Rhine-Westphalia, Schleswig-Holstein, Bavaria and Lower Saxony. The company aims to increase the total number of connected homes to 100,000 by the end of the year.
