Ziggo, a Dutch provider of entertainment, information and communication through TV, internet and telephony services, has added a range of ‘low-cost’ bundles to users of its Ziggo Mobile brand who do not typically make many voice calls or send text messages. Additionally, the carrier has introduced a bundled offering giving subscribers unlimited voice calls and SMS for heavy-use customers. In looking to better tailor its tariff plans, Ziggo says it hopes to offer ‘something suitable for each Ziggo customer’, noting that all its subscriptions take advantage of unlimited internet access (currently available on four devices), via a network of 1.2 million Wi-Fi hotspots. Subscription can be changed or terminated on a monthly basis, it said, and customers are only charged for the actual time used – on a per-second basis. Ziggo Mobile has three SIM-only subscription options for consumers and three for business clients. Consumer tariff plans range from EUR7.50 to EUR25.00 (USD10.17 to USD33.89) per month – all with a maximum 14.4Mbps data speed – while business plans cost between EUR10.00 a month and EUR30.00.
